Do any of us enjoy a physical? If you are anything like me, it can feel very invasive. That is why I am here to tell you it doesnt have to be. With my extensive experience, I have seen the loss of independence in the faces of those just beginning their search for assisted living and therefore tend to wait until it is a traumatic reason to move quickly. With our approach, you will experience feeling right at home with our individualized care plans designed just for you.
An assessment is not a physical. It does not start with you removing your clothing or having to sit on a cold table. In fact, it begins with a physicians report (LIC 602) that is reviewed even before the assessment. The assessment isnt only what we can do for you, it goes deeper then that. It is building the relationship with the resident and the team member that will provide your personalized care. That bond and trust is vital when youre putting your life into the hands of others, so why not get to know that person? An assessment covers every need in depth for several reasons. First, is to see if you are appropriate for this specific assisted living because each one may have their own prohibited health care limitations that would not be able to be taken care of safely, and that is what we are all about; safety. Next, we create an individualized care plan that is different for each resident. No two residents are the same. It is so specific to the exact care you needed to ensure you are living a full and meaningful, quality life.
Once a care plan is in place it helps us determine the care cost. Our care costs are based on a point system rather than most communities which are on a tier system. The point system is great and unique for families because a tier system does not necessarily assure the care cost is identical with the care plan. As some residents needs fluctuate their points will go up and down. This causes care costs to fluctuate whereas with tier-based systems the tier cost will stay the same unless there is a drastic change in health condition for your loved one. This tends to not be beneficial or economical if your loved one is coming in with some weakness and is able to care for themselves as their condition improves which is always our goal. We promote our residents to have as much independence as possible because we are here to maintain pride and dignity for every person.
As you can see there is nothing to be afraid of. With our professional team we are here to help in any way that we can; it is our compassion and experience that sets us apart. With a company that is family owned and operated, we make sure it is the best experience and care you will receive, and that is why you should let our family care for yours.
